Vega Productions, Inc., was founded in March of 2005 and is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Vega's mission is to rebuild and revitalize music and art programs in Minnesota public schools.

Now, more than ever, our future artists are in need of help as school districts face budget cuts because of failed levy proposals and a weakened economy. Our organization is a grass-roots effort to combat this crisis head-on and take matters into our own hands the hands that played in the school band, or threw their first clay pot in the school studio.

Vega Productions, Inc. provides funding for schools by producing premier music and art festivals, concerts and benefit events throughout Minnesota from which all net-proceeds are used to rebuild music and art programs in the neediest of Minnesota public schools.

Past events have included, "A Night for Lyndale Elementary", which was held at First Avenueand featured four bands, guest speakers U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and State Senator LindaBerglin, and celebrity host Robyne Robinson from Fox 9 News. "A Night for Lyndale Elementary" was able to raise over $15,000.00 and the donation to the school included brass,woodwind and percussion instruments, music software, handmade African drums imported fromGuinea, and a $1,000.00 check for the school's art department.





Another recent event, "Rock the Boat", was held on the historic Padelford River Boats on Harriet Island. The event wascompletely sold-out and Vega was able to provide the Linwood/Monroe School in St. Paul withtheir entire wish list of instruments. The donation included 37 instruments (valued at over$15,000.00), including a tuba, French horns, an entire PA system and again, a $1,000.00 check for their art department.
