Duluth Public Schools

In the Spring of 2010, Vega Productions joined forces with Classical Minnesota Public Radio on the "Play It Forward" instrument drive. For the entire month of April, Classical MPR listeners were encouraged to donated their gently used instruments to public schools around the state. In conjunction with the on-air promotion, there were a number of live events that occured in Winona, Minneapolis, Saint Paul and Duluth. At these live events, Vega Productions collected instruments and disperesed them to local public schools in need. The Duluth event was held at the College of Saint Scholastica and Vega received 60 instruments including trombones, saxophones, trumpets, guitars and violins. The instruments were disperesed throughout the Duluth public school system, some of the schools who recieved instruments were: Morgan Park, Denfeld/Central, Lincoln/Piedmont, Grant/Nettleton and Lowell Elementary.

"We are always excited to receive usable donated instruments and equipment to help us support the students and their dreams to experience music. Thank you for your generosity and support. We look forward to working with Vega Productions again!"
