Thank You - Vega Productions 5th Birthday

THANK YOU to everyone who came out in support of Vega Productions' 5th birthday fundraiser. Between ticket sales and the silent auction, we were able to raise more than $7,000.00! This funding will support our operations for 2010 as we work to bring instruments and art supplies, as well as a couple of new after school and residency programs, to students in Minnesota public schools.

Special thank you to the Fineline & Cabooze, God Johnson, The Histronic, Hyentyte, Cymatic, Umphrey's McGee, artists Michelle Ochs and Jeredt Runions, photographers Mike Anderson & Matt Stengl, all of the organization who donated silent auction items and those of you who bid and bought tickets to the show!

Vega Productions is turning 5 and we are celebrating after the Saturday night Umphrey's McGee show at First Ave. Be prepared to be rawked by God Johnson, Hyentyte, The Histronic and some very special guests! If you attended this show last year, you know that you're in for a treat...

Proceeds from the night benefit Vega Productions as we raise money to fund operating expenses for 2010. 2009 was a breakout year for our little non-profit organization and we aim to donate over $100,000.00 to music and art programs in need this year!

1.31.09 - UM Afterparty Benefit for Vega Productions

Thank you to everyone who came out last Saturday in support of Vega Productions and to those who helped make the show a success including God Johnson, The Histronic, Umphrey's McGee and The Fineline. We were able to raise $4000.00, which will help fund 2009's charitable activities - a good portion of that money came as a result of the silent auction - thanks to those donors including The MN Wild, Umphrey's McGee, American Guitar & Band, The St. Paul Hotel, artist Michelle Ochs and many more. We've got some big announcements to make in the coming weeks, so check back often to stay in the loop!

On Saturday, January 31st, Vega Productions will present our first ever benefit event with proceeds being used to fund our charitable activities for 2009. Our organization is experiencing a growth spurt and operational funds are needed to help us as we strive to reach our goal of donating $100,000.00 worth of instruments and art supplies to needy schools this year.

Saturday's show is at the Fineline and is being produced in conjunction with Umphrey's McGee's 3-night Minneapolis run at First Avenue. Our show features the music of God Johnson & The Histronic with some special guests expected. We will also run a silent auction which will include one-of-a-kind Umphrey's items, a Minnesota Wild team-signed hockey stick, a Rex Grossman signed official Chicago Bears jersey, spa and hotel gift certificates and an original live performance painting that will be created by artist Michelle Ochs during the concert.

Thanks to all of the bands, artists, silent auction donors, and everyone else who helped make this show happen!
